The period for submitting the Annual Adjustment Declaration (DAA) of the Individual Income Tax is open and the taxpayer has the possibility to allocate part of the tax due to a social project through the Municipal Funds for Children and the Elderly and the Sports, Culture and Health Incentive Laws.
Individuals will not pay a higher tax amount nor will their refund amount be reduced. It will only allow part of the tax due to be allocated directly to a Social Fund.
Donations made through the allocation of Income Tax are one of the main ways of raising funds from the Social Funds.
According to the Tax Incentive Laws, in the act of declaration of the IR, “part of the resource that “goes to Brasília” can stay here, in the municipality or in the State, benefiting social projects.
In addition, it will also bring development and generation of employment and income to cities”.
This is an effective citizenship action that directly and positively interferes with social reality.
